Its official…I won the 2015 Minnesota Ninety-Nines Chapter Scholarship for Private Pilot!
I had been wanting to apply for this scholarship for years, but one of the requirements is passing the FAA Private Pilot-Airplane written exam. So for the past three years around October/November I would start to gear up to take the exam and drive Cheryl crazy with ground lessons and wanting to take the exam, but I was never ready to take it. But this past December 2014 I took and passed the FAA exam, so I applied for the Scholarship and I won! The news was released today in Northern Flights: The Official Newsletter of the Minnesota Ninety Nines Women Pilots. Thank you Minnesota 99s and the Scholarship Committee!
